Learning to cope. That’s one of the goals of Glenwood Regional Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Unit. We understand that everyone doesn't always react to stress, trauma or emotional pain in the same way. That's why we're committed to providing our adult patients with appropriate coping resources to help them survive during a crisis situation.
Glenwood’s Behavioral Health Unit responds to crises in areas such as:

Specialized Treatment
We offer our patients a specialized plan of care that is directed toward the process of healing, both mentally and physically. Comprehensive treatment programs are tailored to fit each person's needs, and may include individual, group, family and activity therapies. Clinical teams are composed of licensed, experienced and caring professionals who are committed to providing the finest care and programs. Our 24-bed facility is dedicated to reducing suffering and establishing new ways of coping.
Assessments & Admissions
Before a patient can be admitted to the Behavioral Health Unit, an assessment will be completed to determine the best, most appropriate treatment options. Assessments are available without charge 24-hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. Patients, families, physicians, or anyone concerned about an individual can access these services. Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurances accepted.
