AARP Driver Safety Program
Driver safety refresher course for adults 50 years and older. Learn how to avoid driving hazards and review road safety rules. There are no tests given and you may be eligible for a auto insurance discount. Contact your insurance agent for discount details. Course fee is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Bring a check or money order to class made payable to AARP.
This class is designed to teach moms the basics of breastfeeding, including getting started in the hospital, positioning and latching assessment, and breastfeeding management. Please use entrance 1 at the Glenwood Medical Mall.
By joining this free childbirth class, Glenwood wants to help prepare you for the birth of your new baby. Learn the warning signs of pre-term labor, stages of labor, and delivery with emphasis on your initial post-partum recovery and care. Just for Girls Body Awareness
Preteens will learn what to expect during puberty, and how to take care of themselves as their body grows. Body Awareness will include informal open discussions, a video presentation, and take home materials. By taking the class together, preteen and parent can continue these important discussions at home. Online payment and registration is required. $10 fee includes preteen and parent.
This a single evening class is designed to provide expectant mothers with the basics on newborn care from infant to six months of age. Topics include bathing, diapering and infant CPR. Please park at the front of the medical mall and use entrance #1. Event is to be held in the Community Room.
Women of Wellness Yoga
The Glenwood Women of Wellness (WOW) Yoga class is a 6-week session fitness class and is held on Wednesday’s at 5:30pm. The class in 1 hour in length. Total cost for the 6-week session is $30. Class size is limited and each participant is responsible for bringing a yoga mat, yoga strap and bottle of water. For additional information, call 329-8590.
